Elon Musk has revealed on Twitter that the recent misunderstanding about Twitter being taken from Apple's App Store has been solved. He reportedly met Apple’s Chief Executive Tim Cook. Earlier this week, Musk had accused Apple of blocking Twitter from its app store without mentioning the reason. During a series of tweets, he also mentioned that Apple had stopped advertising on his social media platform.
Apple reportedly spent about $131,600 on Twitter ads from November 10 to November 16, compared to a higher figure of $220,800 between October 16 and October 22. This was just a week before Musk closed the Twitter deal. Apple emerged as the top advertiser on Twitter in the first quarter of 2022, spending about $48 million that accounted for more than 4 percent of Twitter’s total revenue for the period.
