Chitrapuri Colony, the dedicated housing haven for the Telugu film fraternity, has embarked on an exciting new phase with the official launch of its latest residential project, SAPPHIRE SUITE. The announcement was made on Monday, amidst a gathering of key industry figures, veteran leaders, and union representatives, with the project brochure unveiled by Chitrapuri Colony President, Mr. Anil Kumar Vallabhaneni.
Mr. Vallabhaneni, reflecting on the journey, stated that the vision for Chitrapuri Colony began in 1994 and has navigated numerous developmental stages, weathering challenges like changing administrations and leadership shifts. He emphasized the perseverance required to secure necessary permissions, ultimately achieved through the crucial intervention of Film Chamber President Mr. Bharath Bhushan. Acknowledging the current debt of Rs. 166 crores and remaining Rs. 50 crores in pending work, Mr. Vallabhaneni affirmed their unwavering commitment to providing homes for all industry workers. Despite land constraints due to buffer zone regulations, reducing the area from 4.5 acres to 2 acres, the project is strategically planned to accommodate members, clear existing dues, and finalize remaining tasks. Priority will be given to those already on the waiting list, with new applications considered based on association certifications. In contrast to the 14 years taken for the previous phase, SAPPHIRE SUITE is slated for completion within an ambitious 40 months from its groundbreaking, poised to become a significant landmark for the industry.
Producer C. Kalyan lauded the enduring vision of Chitrapuri Colony, expressing gratitude for the efforts of past leaders like Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao in securing the land. He highlighted the project's potential to benefit thousands and resolve long-standing issues.
Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao underscored the team's dedication, noting the parallel progress of Chitrapuri and Amaravati projects. He credited the relentless efforts of leaders like Anil, Damodar, Prasanna, and Ajay for their pivotal role in this advancement.
Madala Ravi, Vice President of the MAA Association, emphasized the integral role of Chitrapuri Colony as a cornerstone of the film industry family, celebrating SAPPHIRE SUITE as a collective achievement born from the solidarity and hard work of all film chamber members.
K.L. Damodar Prasad expressed confidence in achieving their goals within 3-4 years, attributing it to transparent discussions within the Chamber and a shared positive intent.
Film Director and President Veera Shankar highlighted the unity that helped overcome opposition and interference, emphasizing transparency as the guiding principle moving forward, with strict measures against fraudulent memberships.
Producer Council Secretary Prasanna Kumar proudly acknowledged the rarity of such dedicated housing projects for a film community globally, crediting their unity and persistence, with special thanks to Mr. Srinivasa Rao and Mr. Bharath Bhushan for their timely support.
Other speakers, including Ammiraju, Anupam Reddy, and various committee members, echoed their appreciation and urged collective support to ensure SAPPHIRE SUITE becomes a successful and defining achievement for Chitrapuri Colony.
