The cherished tradition of the 80s Stars Reunion made an emotional return on October 4th, 2025, in Chennai, bringing together the enduring legends of South Indian cinema after a three-year pause. The gathering, originally postponed due to Chennai’s devastating floods last year, was this year transformed from a lavish gala into a heartfelt, intimate event—reflecting unity and empathy in the wake of recent challenges faced by the state.
This year’s reunion was graciously hosted at the home of Rajkumar Sethupathy and Sripriya, as per the collective wishes of the stars. Renowned personalities including Lissy Lakshmi, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Khushbu Sundar, and Suhasini Maniratnam curated the evening, fostering an atmosphere of genuine connection among peers.
A total of 31 distinguished stars journeyed from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and even the Hindi film industry, emphasizing the event’s pan-Indian spirit.
