Expanding the Cash Rewards Pipeline for Future Editions

Addressing the gathering of young filmmakers and media personnel, TFCC Chairman Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud heavily lauded the technical quality displayed by the participants, noting that the jury was thoroughly amazed by the post-production values achieved despite limited independent resources.

To immediately reward the filmmakers, the chamber enhanced its initial financial pool for this edition, distribution cash prizes of ₹20,000 for First Prize, ₹15,000 for Second Prize, and ₹10,000 for Third Prize.

A Massive Cash Boost for 2027: Dr. Ramakrishna Goud announced a significant expansion for next year's festival cycle, locking in a premium prize architecture of ₹1 Lakh for the winner, ₹50,000 for the runner-up, and ₹25,000 for third place.

Following the announcement, High Court Advocate Subhash Reddy and Supreme Court Advocate/Producer Sharif both stepped forward to officially pledge sponsorship for the upcoming ₹1 Lakh first-prize purse.

Strict Judgment Over Three Days of Evaluation

Reflecting on her high-stakes responsibility, Jury Chairperson Indraja revealed that she carefully reviewed every entry over a dedicated three-day screening window before locking down the final three winners. Actress Aksha Khan highly praised Indraja's intense dedication to the screening process.

"Cinema represents your ultimate dreams and aspirations," Indraja stated during her address. "Dr. Ramakrishna Goud has had a long, admirable journey in our industry as a distributor, producer, director, and actor, frequently helping release stalled independent projects. Those who did not win are equally talented, and missing out on an award does not diminish the value of your work. With determination and persistence, this platform can open massive doors for aspiring filmmakers."
