In a major policy push to make Andhra Pradesh a preferred global destination for filmmakers, the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation (APFDC) has announced plans to introduce a streamlined, transparent single-window clearance system for film shooting permissions across the state.
The announcement was made during the star-studded Celebrity Gala Film Awards hosted at the Vizag Film Nagar Cultural Centre (FNCC) in Thimmapuram, along the scenic Bheemili coastline. Attended by the newly appointed APFDC leadership—constituted for the first time in 12 years post-bifurcation—the event also saw the official launch of two new production houses: Talent Productions and Kantiputi Creations.

"Our priority is to provide end-to-end infrastructure so filmmakers don't have to look elsewhere. We are establishing modern dubbing studios and post-production facilities right here in Visakhapatnam, alongside making plans to host national-level film awards in the city.
To eliminate red tape, we are implementing a single-window permission system so directors and producers can obtain shooting clearances without administrative delays. Small films are the true lifeblood of our industry—they nurture fresh talent, and when content is solid, star power naturally follows."
