Megastar Chiranjeevi, a legendary figure in Telugu and Indian cinema, recently launched the second edition of the book "Master of Suspense Hitchcock." The book, a tribute to the iconic filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, was penned by senior journalist and film writer Pulagam Chinnarayana, in collaboration with IRTS officer Ravi Padi.

The first edition of the book, released on December 18th to commemorate Hitchcock's 125th birth anniversary and the centenary of his first film, sold out within five days. This overwhelming response led to the release of a second edition with additional content.

Chiranjeevi expressed his interest in the book and praised the authors for bringing out such a comprehensive work in Telugu. He recalled watching Hitchcock's films during his college days and shared his intention to read the book soon. He also encouraged the authors to continue their efforts in bringing out more such books on legendary figures in cinema.

The book features 62 articles written by 45 directors, 7 writers, and 10 journalists, offering diverse perspectives on Hitchcock's life and work. Renowned novelist Malladi Venkata Krishnamurthy wrote the foreword for the book and also released a podcast praising it, a first in his career. Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma also contributed a foreword.

The book received praise from Bollywood actor and director Amol Palekar at the recent Hyderabad Literature Festival (HLF). With its in-depth analysis and insightful perspectives, "Master of Suspense Hitchcock" is a must-read for cinephiles and anyone interested in the art of filmmaking.
