"Tomorrow is my birthday. It was a great joy to meet these children. We have made a small donation. Though it's modest, this little help will bring them immense happiness. I urge everyone to come together and help these children," said actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar at a press meet.
Tomorrow (March 5) marks Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's birthday. On this occasion, she visited the Lepra Society Orphanage in Hyderabad with her family, spent time with the children, and presented them with gifts. Later, she and her husband, Nikolai Sachdev, made a donation to the orphanage.
During the event, actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar spoke to the media, saying, "Greetings to everyone. For every birthday, I do social service in my own way. Since I shifted from Chennai to Hyderabad, this time I wanted to do something good here in Hyderabad. This orphanage houses many young girls, and there are 62 children in this branch. We can make a small contribution on their behalf. Many people are unaware of this orphanage. When a celebrity visits, the orphanage gains recognition. We hope that through this, more people will come to know about it. I thank the media for their support. Through the media, the public will learn about this orphanage. Please, everyone, extend your helping hands. I would also like to thank Gautam Garu for his continuous support. We have an NGO called 'Save Shakti,' which he has supported. Whenever you get the chance, please come and meet these children and help them. Tomorrow is my birthday, and spending time with these children has brought me great joy. We have made our small contribution. Though it's small, this help will give them great happiness. I request everyone to come together and help these children. Thank you."
Her husband, Nikolai Sachdev, also shared his thoughts, stating, "Life doesn't treat everyone the same. We worked hard to get to where we are today. Now, in our current situation, this help may not seem like a big deal, but helping is our responsibility. After meeting these children, I feel very emotional. When we give even a little of what we have, it eventually comes back to us in full circle. Helping others creates a better world for all of us. We will return here after six months. Thanks to the media and everyone."
