When you did the movie Odela Railway Station, did you think it would have a sequel? -Odela Railway Station was made during the lockdown. All shootings were stopped due to Corona. It was at a time when we didn't even know when they would start again that Sampath Nandi garu and the team bravely came forward and did Odela. Actually, I didn't think it would have a sequel at that time. The film received a very good success. It was a greater success than we expected. All the audience who saw the movie praised it very much. However, even then, I didn't expect this film to have a sequel at this level, a sequel on such a grand scale. It's very happy to bring Odela 2, which started as a small effort during Corona, to the audience on such a grand scale.
What is the difference between Odela 1 and Odela 2? -Odela 1 is an out-and-out murder mystery. Odela 2 is a super natural thriller. Odela 2 is much bigger than Odela. There are many wonderful elements. The audience will have a great theatrical experience.
How are your combination scenes with Tamannaah garu? -I have combination scenes with Tamannaah garu in this. She appears in my sister's character. However, most of the movie I appear in jail episodes. My character creates as much impact in this second part as it did in the first part.
How was it working with Sampath Nandi garu? -Sampath garu is a visionary filmmaker. When he first told me my character in the Odela story, I was shocked. I wondered if I could do such a performance-based character. But Sampath garu told me to try. I was very happy that he had such faith in me. His confidence gave me more confidence. Sampath garu is a very nice, kind person. It was very happy to work with him.
What did you learn from Tamannaah? -Tamannaah garu takes every character very seriously. I liked the way she prepared for a character very much. She prepared very wonderfully for Odela 2. Actually, when I was doing the Odela movie, I didn't prepare anything in advance about my character. I have never done homework like Tamannaah garu. I learned to do such homework in the future.
About Ashok Teja garu's direction? -I have worked with him since the Odela movie. He is very clear. Sampath Nandi garu and Ashok Teja garu work with good team work. It was a very good experience to work with Ashok Teja garu.
About producer Madhu garu? -Madhugaru took the project to the next level. He made the movie on a very grand scale without compromising anywhere. I hope this movie achieves a great success and brings him fame.
About Ajaneesh Loknath's music? -Ajaneesh's music is a big asset to this movie. He took the movie to another level with his music. The background score is extraordinary. He gave the perfect music needed for a super natural thriller.
How was it working with Vasishta garu? -I acted with him for the first time in Odela 1. He is a wonderful actor. When acting with him, we get inspiration to act wonderfully too.
You have completed ten years in the industry, right? How is this journey? -This journey is happy. There are ups and downs. However, as an actress, I am always happy. Neither success nor failure is final. What is in our hands is to keep working. I have learned a lot in this journey. I am confident that I will travel as an actress for another 10 years.
What kind of characters do you want to do? -I have tried many genre movies so far. I want to do a full-fledged comedy entertainer.
About new projects? -Two movies in Telugu are getting ready for release. I am doing a Kannada movie. It will start next month.
