Mohanlal himself confirmed the milestone on X, celebrating the film's groundbreaking achievement. "100 crores+ world wide theatrical share! First time in the history of Malayalam cinema!" he proudly announced, using the hashtags #L2E and #Empuraan.
Released on March 27th amidst immense anticipation, "L2 Empuraan" has not only met expectations but exceeded them, becoming a colossal blockbuster. The film has already amassed over ₹230 crore gross globally, demonstrating its widespread appeal.
Featuring a stellar cast including Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Indrajith Sukumaran, "L2 Empuraan" faced initial controversy, which was resolved through re-censoring and the removal of contentious scenes.
