Back in September 2023, director SS Rajamouli unveiled "Made In India," a pan-Indian cinematic venture produced by Varun Gupta of Max Studios and SS Karthikeya of Showing Business. Billed as a biopic inspired by the life of Dadasaheb Phalke, often hailed as the Father of Indian Cinema, the project has been diligently progressing behind the scenes. Sources indicate that SS Rajamouli, along with SS Karthikeya and Varun Gupta, have been meticulously crafting the script and have now finalized a draft.
Exciting whispers from sources close to the production suggest that SS Rajamouli, Varun Gupta, and SS Karthikeya recently narrated the script to Jr NTR. The "Young Tiger" is said to have been immediately captivated by the narrative and has reportedly given his enthusiastic agreement to the project. "Jr NTR listened to the script and was deeply impressed by the relatively unknown aspects of Dadasaheb Phalke's life and his monumental contribution as the 'Father of Indian Cinema'," a source revealed. "The story chronicles the very genesis and growth of Indian Cinema, and NTR was surprised by the level of detail. He is thrilled at the prospect of portraying such a pivotal figure on the big screen."
The source further elaborated that while Jr NTR has verbally committed to the film, the official paperwork and other formalities are still pending. "Jr NTR holds immense respect and affection not only for SS Rajamouli but also for his son, SS Karthikeya, and their production partner, Varun Gupta. Following the narration, he reportedly engaged in an extensive discussion, delving into the intricacies of the script, screenplay, and potential treatment of the film," the source added.
Currently, Jr NTR is immersed in filming his next project with Prashanth Neel and is also slated to work on director Nelson Dilipkumar's upcoming film.
