The highly anticipated inaugural Gaddar Telangana Film Awards today announced its winners for the year 2024, recognizing outstanding cinematic achievements. The awards, backed by the Telangana government, will culminate in a grand ceremony on June 14th in Hyderabad.
'Kalki 2898 AD' emerged as the big winner, securing the prestigious award for Best Feature Film. Following closely, 'Pottel' and 'Lucky Bhaskar' were honored as the Second and Third Best Feature Films, respectively.
In a widely celebrated win, Allu Arjun was recognized as Best Leading Actor for his performance in 'Pushpa 2: The Rule.'
The awards not only celebrate films released in 2024 but also aim to retrospectively honor the best films from 2014 to 2023, filling a significant void in state-backed film awards since the formation of Telangana.
The announcement was made on Thursday by Dil Raju, Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC), and Jayasudha, Chairperson of the Jury Committee for the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards.
