In a spectacular display of elegance, poise, and purpose, Opal Suchata of Thailand has been crowned Miss World 2025. The grand finale of the 72nd edition of the prestigious pageant took place in a glittering ceremony in Hyderabad, Telangana, where reigning queen Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic passed on the coveted crown.

Opal’s winning moment saw her grace the stage in a delicate white gown adorned with opal-like florals. She described the gown as a heartfelt tribute to the powerful journey of "Opal For HER," embodying the gem's inherent qualities of beauty, resilience, and transformation.

"The shimmering white fabric and delicate opal-like florals reflect women who choose hope over fear," Opal shared on her Instagram, adding, "The soft flare mirrors the ripple effect of compassion—how one heart can awaken many. Swarovski crystals sparkle like the inner light that guides us through darkness." This symbolic attire was a powerful celebration of every woman who dares to dream, even when facing adversity. "Just like the opal, I shine in my own light," Opal further stated.

While Thailand celebrates Opal's victory, India's hopes for the crown were unfortunately not realized this year. India's representative, Nandini Gupta, who had impressed in earlier rounds by fast-tracking into the Top 40, did not advance to the Top 8 finalists as the competition progressed.

The 72nd edition of Miss World made history by returning to India as its host country, following the successful 71st edition held in Mumbai, where Krystyna Pyszkova was crowned. Tonight, Krystyna passed the legacy to Opal Suchata, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Miss World title.
