Director Jayashankarr, acclaimed for his debut Paper Boy, brings an ambitious vision to his new psycho-mythological film Ari (My Name is Nobody), releasing worldwide on October 10 via Asian Suresh Distribution. Produced by ARVY Cinemas and presented by RV Reddy, the film stars Vinod Varma, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Sai Kumar, and Srikanth Iyengar and explores profound themes drawn from ancient Indian philosophy.

Jayashankarr shares that he left a corporate career to follow his passion for cinema, debuting as a director with Paper Boy in 2018. The concept for Ari was sparked by his fascination with the Arishadvargas—the six inner enemies: desire, anger, greed, attachment, pride, and jealousy. Inspired by insights from Himalayan yogis, the director set out to craft a compelling story that addressed these struggles not through preachy messages, but with engaging, emotionally rich storytelling.

Rejecting the use of megastars, Jayashankarr selected character-driven actors like Sai Kumar, Anasuya, and Viva Harsha, whose performances, he believes, will resonate deeply with audiences. The cast’s connection to the material and the film’s honest portrayal of desire are intended to leave lasting impressions.

The film relies on stunning VFX and AI technology—all achieved within budget constraints—to elevate its unique vision, with two songs already generating buzz for their quality. Jayashankarr’s admiration for Upendra’s commercial-yet-philosophical style influenced the film’s approach, creating a modern narrative akin to a “digital Bhagavad Gita.” The director emphasizes that Ari is accessible to both general and spiritually inclined viewers, with suspenseful storytelling and a universally relatable exploration of human desire and ego.

Early feedback from prominent personalities like Venkaiah Naidu and Yandamoori Veerendranath has been overwhelmingly positive, with high praise for Ari’s emotional depth and philosophical content. Jayashankarr is confident that Ari will appeal to youth and families seeking meaningful cinema, with the climax and character arcs sure to keep audiences engaged till the final moments. The director also revealed his next project—a new film featuring Jacqueline Fernandez, scheduled to commence production in December.
