"I Loved 'Phoenix'; It's a Great Start for My Son, and the Film Will Surely Connect with You": Vijay Sethupathi at Pre-Release Event
The pre-release event for the most anticipated supernatural mythological thriller, 'Phoenix,' was held in Hyderabad, ahead of its grand Telugu release on November 7th. The film marks the debut of Suriya Sethupathi, son of Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, and is directed by renowned stunt master Anal Arasu. Produced by Rajalakshmi 'Anal' Arasu under the AK Braveman Pictures banner, the film is already a blockbuster hit in Tamil.
Attending the event, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi spoke passionately about his son's foray into acting.
Vijay Sethupathi on Suriya's Action Dream
"Namaskarams to everyone. I am very happy that Gopichand Malineni Garu joined us today; his words gave us immense joy. I met Anal Arasu Master while doing the film Jawan, and he told me this story. He suggested my son act in it. I told them to talk amongst themselves. They spoke, and they made the film. I watched it, and I loved it very much."
Vijay Sethupathi revealed his pride in Suriya's debut:
"This is a wonderful start for my son. As a father, I am very happy. Since childhood, he wanted to do action films; he loves action and always asked me to do mass action movies. It was his dream to do a film like this. One day he said he wanted to be an actor, and within a year, he made a film. This was possible because of Director Anal Arasu Master and Producer Rajalakshmi Madam."
He was highly confident in the film's Telugu success.
"Emotion connects a film, no matter the language. Phoenix is a blend of action and emotion, and I guarantee it will connect with the Telugu audience. It releases on November 7th; let’s all meet in the theaters! (Laughing) I am currently doing a Puri Jagannadh film, and by the time it is finished, I will speak Telugu fluently, maybe even write poetry. Please adjust with my Telugu until then."
