Karthi’s much-awaited Tamil film Va Vaathiyaar is reaching Telugu audiences as Annagaru Vostaru, and the team has now confirmed that the film will release in theatres worldwide on December 12. Backed by producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green banner, the film is directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, with Krithi Shetty playing the female lead in this action‑laced entertainer.
To coincide with the date announcement, the makers have also dropped the energetic Annagaru lyrical song. Composer Santhosh Narayanan brings his signature mass‑meets‑quirky sound, while lyricist Rakendu Mouli packs the track with playful, trendy lines. Singers S.P. Abhishek and Haripriya deliver the number with high energy, making the hook instantly catchy and crowd‑friendly.
The Annagaru song, filled with fun lines about being a rich kid, planning a pan‑India movie, and even “calling Rajamouli for my biopic,” is paired with colourful visuals that highlight the film’s humorous and vibrant tone. The track is clearly pitched as a mass-friendly anthem meant to connect strongly with youth and fans of Karthi’s lighter side.
Recently, blockbuster director Anil Ravipudi unveiled the teaser of Annagaru Vostaru, which drew an excellent response and added momentum to the buzz. With strong promotions, a catchy first song, and the popular Karthi–Krithi Shetty combination, expectations are high that Annagaru Vostaru will emerge as another major blockbuster in Karthi’s Telugu market.
