The renowned Geetha Film Distributors, celebrated for handling Telugu blockbusters like Kantara, Viduthalai, Chaava, and Mahavatar Narasimha, is now set to unleash the much-awaited Vrusshabha starring the legendary Mohanlal. This collaboration has skyrocketed expectations, promising a grand pan-India theatrical rollout for the periodic action saga.
Written and directed by Nanda Kishore, Vrusshabha weaves a gripping tale of love, destiny, and revenge, centered on the unbreakable father-son bond tested across eras. The recently unveiled theatrical trailer kicks off with Mohanlal’s character haunted by vivid dreams of violence, bloodshed, and ancient warfare. A doctor’s ominous line echoes: “What you can't define, the brain denies!”
The narrative soon unfolds Mohanlal’s past life as King Vijayendra Vrusshabha, facing a formidable challenger threatening his lineage. The conflict transcends generations through reincarnation, with enemies hungry for vengeance and his devoted son vowing fierce protection. Spanning two timelines — from a majestic historical kingdom to the high-stakes modern world — the trailer teases massive action, drama, and emotional depth.
Geetha Film Distributors is mounting an extravagant release strategy for December 25, 2025, with the film shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu, plus dubs in Hindi and Kannada for a worldwide premiere.
Starring Mohanlal alongside Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, and Nayan Sarika, the ensemble includes Ajay, Garuda Ram, and Kishore in pivotal roles. The technical prowess shines with Sam CS’s music, Resul Pookutty’s sound design, sharp dialogues by SRK, Janardhan Maharshi, and Karthik, and adrenaline-pumping action by Peter Hein, Stunt Silva, and Nikhil.
Presented by Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms Ltd in association with Abishek S Vyas Studios, and produced by a powerhouse team including Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, C.K. Padma Kumar, and others, Vrusshabha blends epic visuals, intense drama, and heartfelt storytelling into a cinematic father-son odyssey that’s set to captivate audiences this holiday season.
