‘Sathi Leelavathi’ Sets March 6 Release: A Modern Spin on Marital Conflict Starring Lavanya Tripathi Konidela

The upcoming family entertainer Sathi Leelavathi, featuring Lavanya Tripathi Konidela and Dev Mohan, is officially scheduled to hit theaters on March 6. Presented by Anandi Art Creations and produced by Naaga Mohan under the Durgadevi Pictures banner, the film is helmed by director Tatineni Satya.

During a recent press meet held to announce the release date, the cast and crew shared insights into the film’s production and their hopes for its box-office success.

Lavanya Tripathi’s Dedicated Performance

Lead actress Lavanya Tripathi Konidela shared a personal milestone related to the project, revealing that she filmed the entire movie within a three-month window while she was pregnant.

"I was able to complete the shoot efficiently only because of the immense support from my director and producers," Lavanya stated. She praised the performances of her co-stars, specifically highlighting Dev Mohan’s impactful role and the comedic timing of Saptagiri. "It is a complete entertainer that will resonate with everyone."

A Tribute to a Cult Classic

Director Tatineni Satya addressed the inevitable comparisons to the legendary old film of the same name. He clarified that while he is a massive fan of the original Sathi Leelavathi, his version is a fresh take tailored for the modern generation, focusing on contemporary husband-and-wife conflicts.

  • Respect for the Original: Satya noted that he would be thrilled if his film achieved even half the acclaim of the classic version.

  • The Vision: The goal was to create a movie that families can watch together and enjoy as a "good film" filled with entertainment.

A New Beginning for the Makers

For producer Naaga Mohan, this project marks his debut in the industry. He expressed his gratitude for the learning experience and requested the audience's support for the worldwide release on March 6.

Comedian Saptagiri echoed these sentiments, noting that the film marks a "second innings" for director Satya and expressed his desire for this version to match the success of its namesake predecessor.
