Akshaye Khanna Wraps "Mahakali" Shoot: Prasanth Varma’s PVCU Expands with Extensive Hyderabad Schedule

On the occasion of Akshaye Khanna’s birthday, filmmaker Prasanth Varma has shared a thrilling update from the sets of Mahakali. As the next major chapter in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), the film is being produced by RKD Studios (RK Duggal and Riwaz Ramesh Duggal) and directed by Puja Kolluru, with Varma serving as the creative showrunner.


Milestone Achieved: 100 Days of Filming

The production team has successfully crossed the 100-day filming mark, and a final, rigorous 40-day schedule is now underway in Hyderabad.

A significant highlight of this update is that Akshaye Khanna has officially completed his portions for the film. Making his highly anticipated Tollywood debut, Khanna portrays the pivotal mythological figure Shukracharya. His first-look posters have already garnered immense praise, with fans eager to see how his character influences the wider superhero universe Varma is building.

Fierce Divinity and Visual Grandeur

While Bhoomi Shetty takes on the titular lead role of Mahakali, appearing in a fierce and divine avatar, the film is being polished to be a visual masterpiece:

  • VFX Powerhouse: Multi-studio visual effects work is currently progressing at a rapid pace to bring the mythological elements to life.
