The Reign of the Dragon Begins: NTR Jr. and Prashanth Neel’s Multi-Starrer Action Epic Titled ‘DRAGON’; Raw, Visceral Glimpse Out

The international film trade has officially witnessed its biggest seismic shift of the year. The highly anticipated collaboration between global sensation Man of Masses NTR and maverick action filmmaker Prashanth Neel has finally unveiled its official title: "DRAGON."

To mark the momentous occasion, the makers dropped an unprecedented, massive 4-minute-and-28-second powerful glimpse that instantly set the digital space on fire. Jointly bankrolled by industry heavyweights Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, the grand scale action epic has officially locked its worldwide theatrical arrival for Friday, June 11, 2027.

A Dark, Atmospheric Heist Set in 1967

Moving completely away from routine commercial templates, Prashanth Neel introduces an ultra-stylized, dark, and moody international underworld:

  • The Backdrop: Set deep within the year 1967, the plot unfolds across the lawless territories of the Golden Triangle, mapping the high-stakes, ruthless operations of the international opium trade.

  • The Biblical Framing: The massive glimpse is anchored by a haunting voiceover from leading lady Rukmini Vasanth, who solemnly narrates verses from Genesis Chapter 1 from the Holy Bible. With each passing line, the script systematically unveils the cold-blooded syndicates driving the notorious Afghan Trading Company.

Meet "Luger"—NTR Jr. as the Devil’s Assassin

N. T. Rama Rao Jr. undergoes a jaw-dropping physical evolution for this project, showcasing a lean, chiseled frame and defined abs built for grueling combat sequences.

  • The Character: NTR Jr. plays Luger, the fiercely loyal Assassin-in-Chief of the Afghan Trading Company. Explicitly branded as "The Devil" in the footage, Luger stands at the absolute center of an international crossfire as global factions battle to seize absolute control of the opium supply chain.

  • The Standout Visual: In a frame that has sent shockwaves through the fanbase, Luger is seen standing in a commanding posture atop a mountain composed entirely of a pile of dead bodies, radiating an icy, unyielding screen presence.

An Elite Multi-Lingual Ensemble Cast

DRAGON functions as a sprawling, star-studded international crime drama, introducing heavy hitters across multiple film fraternities:

  • The Law Enforcement: Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor steps into a powerful role as Raghuveer Rathod, the Chief of the Indian Narcotics Bureau, orchestrating a relentless war against the cartel.

  • The Global Grid: The film boasts a powerhouse multi-lingual supporting grid featuring Biju Menon, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Sidhant Gupta, Prabhas Srinu, Shatru, Shiva, and Bhimal Jeet Oberoi.

The Masters of Technical Mayhem

Produced on an astronomical budget by Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, and Hari Krishna Kosaraju, the film is being carefully mounted for a massive pan-India multilingual release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The technical blueprint reunites Prashanth Neel's core visual and audio architects. Master technician Bhuvan Gowda handles the high-contrast, moody cinematography, while musical sensation Ravi Basrur delivers a thunderous, industrial background score. Grand historical structures and gritty ports are being brought to life by production designer Chalapathi.
