Prominent producer and distributor Dheeraj Mogilineni, known for backing content-driven cinema, is gearing up to bring a wholesome family entertainer to the big screen. Under his banner Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment, his upcoming production Summer Holidays promises to evoke deep childhood nostalgia.

The film's grand teaser launch event was held in Hyderabad, with ace producer Dil Raju gracing the occasion as the chief guest. Directed by Srikar, the movie features a primary child ensemble consisting of Master Rohan, Master Arun, and Baby Khushi.

High Praise from Industry Stalwarts

The launch event turned into a massive gathering of contemporary Tollywood filmmakers, all of whom stepped forward to applaud the production house for choosing a genre that has long been neglected in Telugu cinema.

Dil Raju (Chief Guest)

"Dheeraj Mogilineni has carved out his own distinct path in this risky industry, scoring consecutive hits. It has been a very long time since the Telugu audience witnessed a genuine children's film. I strongly hope Summer Holidays brings family audiences back to the theatres. The success of small-budget, concept-driven films is what provides real strength to the industry during difficult phases."

Director Sai Rajesh

"The industry dynamics have shifted drastically over the last two years, making it incredibly difficult to gauge what content will strike a chord. We are repeatedly making thrillers, action films, and rom-coms, accidentally killing other unique genres. Hats off to Dheeraj, who passionately backs meaningful stories with immense courage."

Director Rahul Ravindran

"As a father to twins, I notice that whenever we want to show our kids a children's movie, we are forced to look at international studios like Disney or Pixar. There is a severe lack of home-grown children's stories today. We all carry the responsibility to support a film like this."

Additional support and best wishes were extended by directors Pavan Sadineni, Ram Abbaraju, Ravi Namburii, Kaushik, Nandakishore (recalling his own film 35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu), and editor-director Sai Marthand.

Insights from the Creative Team

Summer Holidays centers on the classic vacation experience—visiting a grandmother's house, forming lifelong friendships, eating mangoes, and getting into playful mischief. The script blends these relatable elements with a touch of fantasy.

  • The Producer's Vision: Dheeraj Mogilineni revealed that while they initially targeted a summer release after starting the shoot in February, post-production enhancements caused delays. "People discouraged me saying children's films don't work anymore, but I fondly remember growing up on classics like Little Soldiers. If we make good films in this space, families will show up."

  • The Musical Blueprint: Composer Sinjith Yerramilli and lyricist Kittu Vissapragada collaborated closely to deliver a five-song album that directly complements the emotional beats of the narrative.

  • The Ensemble Cast: Veteran actress Jayasudha anchors the film as the grandmother. Rajeev Kanakala plays a vital role utilizing a distinct Godavari dialect, while Vasuki Anand expressed that the clear script proves content is king. Rising child actor Master Rohan noted that the film breaks him away from strictly comedic sidekick roles.

Industry Representation and Anti-Piracy Plans

Co-producer Giribabu, who previously partnered with Dheeraj to distribute blockbusters like Devara and Daaku Maharaaj, shared his instant confidence in the script.

Addressing broader industry concerns, Dheeraj Mogilineni noted that small-scale producers face immense structural challenges. The team plans to approach Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to discuss these bottlenecks, alongside coordinating a meeting with Union Minister Amit Shah to implement stricter, tech-driven anti-piracy measures.
