Crafting a Multi-Lingual Sonic Persona

Voicing one of pop culture's most recognizable pop-antagonists required a careful balance between paying homage to the original source material and injecting regional stylistic flavors.

  • A Nostalgic Journey: Adithya Menon described the voice-acting project as a massive wave of childhood nostalgia. He noted that Skeletor operates as one of the earliest "pan-Indian" villains for his generation—equally feared, theatrical, and loved across diverse linguistic cultures long before modern cinema popularized the term.

  • Theatrical Versatility: The actor emphasized that the beauty of the character lies in his internal contrast. He is a dangerous sorcerer who simultaneously exhibits a flamboyant, nonchalant, and hyper-dramatic energy. This gave the voice actor immense room to experiment with vocal textures, improvisations, and speech rhythms.

  • Adapting Jared Leto’s Act: Adithya heavily praised Hollywood star Jared Leto’s powerhouse on-screen performance in the Amazon MGM Studios original cut. He stated that his primary creative focus was fine-tuning that central intensity to match the organic linguistic flavors and cultural nuances of South Indian audiences.

Grand Creative Scale and Release Strategy

Helmed by visionary director Travis Knight, the big-budget fantasy epic boasts a star-studded Hollywood ensemble. The narrative marks the grand return of Eternia's heroes, featuring Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Idris Elba stepping into the boots of Man-At-Arms. The film also features star-studded voice contributions from Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto.

Brought to Indian theatres by Sony Pictures Releasing International, He-Man and The Masters of The Universe is locked to capture a new generation of fantasy lovers across its multi-lingual formats starting this Friday, June 5.
