"Blessed to Debut with Vyjayanthi Movies!" Rasha Thadani Opens Up About 'Srinivasa Mangapuram' and Her Role as Manga
The highly anticipated musical romantic drama Srinivasa Mangapuram is all set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on July 30, 2026. Directed by the cell-uloid trendsetter Ajay Bhupathi (RX 100 and Mangalavaaram fame), the film marks a monumental launchpad for fresh blood in Tollywood. It introduces Superstar Krishna’s grandson and Mahesh Babu’s nephew, Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni, alongside Bollywood diva Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani.
Presented by the legendary Ashwini Dutt under the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner and produced by P. Kiran, the film features senior actor Dr. Mohan Babu in a powerhouse role with music by maestro GV Prakash Kumar. Ahead of the release, vibrant debutante Rasha Thadani interacted with the media to share her excitement.
On the Character of 'Manga' and Cracking the Telugu Language
Rasha revealed that she fell in love with the script the moment director Ajay Bhupathi narrated it to her in July last year. She highlighted the immense emotional depth the director instills in his characters.
Rasha Thadani on Her Debut Role: "My character Manga is incredibly close to my heart. She has two distinct shades—one side of her is extremely bubbly and energetic, while the other side is deeply traditional, dignified, and composed. Since I didn't know Telugu initially, Ajay Bhupathi sir took personal care of me. He used to sit down and translate every emotion by blending Hindi and Telugu. We only went to the shoot after complete preparation."
Working with Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni and Dr. Mohan Babu
-
Co-Star Jayakrishna: Rasha described the debutant hero as an incredibly sweet, cool, and fun-loving individual, making the atmosphere on set lively and stress-free.
-
The Legendary Mohan Babu: "My mother (Raveena Tandon) has previously worked with Mohan Babu garu, so closing that loop was fantastic. He is incredibly funny on set, always cracking jokes, and his ocean of experience taught us newcomers so much."
The Vyjayanthi Movies Legacy & Ashwini Dutt’s Grandfatherly Bond
For a debutante, landing a launch under Vyjayanthi Movies is a dream. Rasha expressed her profound gratitude toward veteran producer Ashwini Dutt.
Rasha on Ashwini Dutt: "Vyjayanthi Movies has launched stars like Mahesh Babu garu. Ashwini Dutt garu is genuinely one of the finest human beings I have ever met. He treated me exactly like his own granddaughter and took care of everything. My grandfather shared a great bond with him back in the day in Mumbai. Despite witnessing decades of blockbusters, his down-to-earth humility is inspiring."
A Lifelong Love for Tollywood and Mother Raveena’s Advice
Rasha confessed that her love for Telugu cinema isn't sudden. She has been a massive fan of Indian cinema's pride Baahubali and feels Tollywood is technologically advanced, constantly creating new worlds.
When she signed the film, her mother Raveena Tandon gave her golden advice: "The Telugu film industry has the healthiest and most joyous work culture. Enjoy the process, absorb the fun atmosphere, and make sure you learn the language properly." Rasha also added that her father was ecstatic about the project, as he loves Telugu films so much that he once contemplated moving to Hyderabad!
