Ancient Vows & Cutting-Edge Tech: India’s Full-Length Generative AI Feature Amba’s Revenge Launches Striking Teaser!

Pushing the technological envelope in Indian storytelling, production banner Nakka Thoka Films has officially unveiled the teaser for Amba’s Revenge—a pioneering, full-length feature film crafted entirely through advanced Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). Produced jointly by Yogendra Prasad Potluri and Rani Madison, the ambitious project is written and directed by Jaivardhan Medi.

Without employing human actors on set, the film utilizes high-end synthetic media and generative visual pipelines to bring to life one of the most intense, tragic, and unyielding vengeance sagas from the Mahabharata—the story of Princess Amba and her rebirth as Shikhandi to fulfill her cosmic vow against Bhishma.

"Told Through Shikhandi’s Eyes" – Director Jaivardhan Medi

Speaking at the teaser launch event before media representatives in Hyderabad, director Jaivardhan Medi shared the creative perspective behind the film:

"While the epic centers on Amba's unbending vow, the narrative of 'Amba's Revenge' unfolds through the perspective of Shikhandi. This introductory teaser was curated specifically to familiarize audiences with the core character designs and visual scale without revealing dialogues yet. A full-fledged theatrical trailer will follow shortly."

Producer Yogendra Prasad Potluri addressed the common misconception regarding AI productions:

"People often assume making an AI film is cheap and effortless, but in reality, maintaining consistent characters, narrative continuity, and cinematic fidelity is an expensive and intricate process. Generative tools evolve so rapidly that midway through production, new pipelines emerge, requiring continuous re-rendering. While audiences are used to short 15-second social reels, experiencing a coherent, grand mythic narrative in AI is going to be a true visual treat."
