My character runs a struggling small-town drama troupe and worships these celestial beings like goddesses. He’s an easy-going dreamer burdened by debts who wants to bypass hard work and become a superstar overnight—convinced that if the goddesses bless him, he’ll be starring in Rajamouli’s next epic! For the original film, we spoofed 108 films with official permissions from directors and producers. Today, stringent copyright regulations and sudden legal objections right before release make doing full-fledged spoof films a huge logistical risk."
