Mythri Movie Makers & Prashanth Neel Set Theatrical Arrival for Gritty Horror Mystery ‘418’ on October 23

Leading Pan-India production powerhouse Mythri Movie Makers is venturing into chilling supernatural territory with their upcoming intense horror thriller titled ‘418’. Presented by blockbuster director Prashanth Neel (KGF, Salaar), the project marks the feature directorial debut of Keerthan Nadagouda, who has also penned the original story and screenplay.

Bankrolled by top producers Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, the makers have officially announced the release date. Capitalizing on the festive Dasara corridor, 418 will hit theatres across the globe on October 23, 2026, in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

A Dark, Unsettling Narrative

Moving away from conventional jump-scare formulas, 418 is designed as a serious, mood-heavy psychological horror experience intended to unsettle audiences with atmospheric tension and existential dread. The narrative explores an eerie mystery, slowly unraveling supernatural events within a grim, claustrophobic setting.

The promotional trailer previously ignited significant curiosity online, earning praise for its striking visual aesthetic, eerie color palette, and spine-chilling soundscape. The footage hints at an uncompromising, edge-of-the-seat thriller tailored for theatrical sound systems.

Talented Ensemble Cast

The film features a gifted crop of performers leading the conflict:

  • Chaithra Achar (Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, Toby) in a compelling, emotionally charged role
  • Surya Raj
  • Charan Lakkaraju
  • Preeti Pagadala
  • Shashank Patil
With Prashanth Neel lending his creative backing and Mythri Movie Makers mounting the project with high technical standards, 418 shapes up to be one of the most intriguing horror offerings of the season when it opens in cinemas worldwide on October 23.
