Star Director V.V. Vinayak Unveils Teaser of Varun Sandesh & Shweta Basu Prasad’s aha Original ‘Naa Wife Missing’
Regional streaming platform aha continues to expand its original slate with gripping, high-concept dramas. The latest to join the lineup is the psychological mystery series ‘Naa Wife Missing’, starring Varun Sandesh and Shweta Basu Prasad in lead roles. Bankrolled by Shiva Kanthamneni under the Lighthouse Cine Magic banner and helmed by debutant director Swatiprakash Mantripragada, the series will premiere exclusively on aha on October 22, 2026, in both Telugu and Tamil.
The official teaser was launched today by blockbuster filmmaker V.V. Vinayak, who extended his warmest wishes to the cast and crew.
Congratulating the team during the launch, director V.V. Vinayak shared:
"The teaser of 'Naa Wife Missing' is genuinely compelling and holds viewer attention from the very first frame. Having known the core team for a long time, I wish the series resounding success when it begins streaming on aha from October 22. I am confident this project will earn talented debut director Swati well-deserved recognition in the digital space."
An Arranged Marriage Derailed by Shocking Revelations
The teaser introduces viewers to an apparently serene arranged marriage between Varun and Shweta’s characters. The calm surface quickly fractures through a startling flashback to their initial matchmaking meeting, where Shweta candidly confides to Varun that she is not a virgin—a disclosure that leaves him rattled.
The tension escalates sharply as the scene shifts to a police station, where a panicked Varun lodges an official complaint stating that his newlywed wife has vanished into thin air.
Unanswered Questions Drive the Mystery
The teaser leaves viewers with lingering questions:
-
Did Shweta speak the absolute truth during their alliance meeting, or was it a tactical test?
-
What triggers her sudden and mysterious disappearance?
-
Will the police investigation uncover a sinister criminal conspiracy, or does the answer lie buried within domestic secrets?
Combining sharp marital conflict with procedural suspense, Naa Wife Missing shapes up to be a binge-worthy thriller for OTT viewers when it lands on aha on October 22.
