"A Truly International Experience" — Cast and Industry Veterans React
Speaking at the launch, lead actor Indra Ram shared his conviction in the script:
"When Shamdat garu narrated this idea, it felt completely original. We scouted locations across Kerala and went on floors within 15 days. Having a master cinematographer direct the film ensures that what was envisioned is translated onto screen without compromise. Deva Katta garu graciously contributed dialogues and a song. We are confident this film will deliver a massive theatrical impact."
Director Shamdat noted:
"I am fundamentally a visual storyteller. I believe the images on screen must do the talking. This is far from a routine commercial narrative—it is an authentic high-concept thriller brought to life by a passionately dedicated team. Indra put his heart into this film across all departments."
Commending the visual ambition, director Deva Katta remarked:
"Shamdat was the visual soul behind Prasthanam—without him, that film wouldn't have been what it became. During Prasthanam itself, I urged him to direct. Don’t Sleep looks extraordinary, and I was happy to contribute dialogues and make a small cameo in it."
Producer BVSN Prasad and directors Kalyan Shankar, Aneesh Kuruvilla, and Sriram Adittya lauded the teaser's Hollywood-style production aesthetics and razor-sharp sound design.
With its gripping psychological premise, stellar visuals, and taut pacing, ‘Don’t Sleep’ is shaping up to be an unmissable theatrical experience for mystery and thriller enthusiasts.
