"Our Faith in Thalaivar, Nelson, and Anirudh Has Won": Suryadevara Naga Vamsi on ‘Jailer 2’ Box-Office Rampage Across Telugu States
Setting the cash registers ringing across cinema halls, Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest action spectacle ‘Jailer 2’ has unleashed a massive box-office storm in the Telugu states. Following its grand worldwide theatrical release on October 15, the high-octane sequel from Sun Pictures, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has been running to packed houses across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with exceptional word-of-mouth.
The Telugu theatrical rights were bagged by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, head of the leading banner Sithara Entertainments. Celebrating the roaring theatrical momentum, Naga Vamsi hosted a success press meet in Hyderabad alongside Mythri Shashi of Mythri Movie Distributors, who orchestrated the film's wide-scale distribution across the crucial Nizam territory.
"Distributors Smiling Across All Territories" — Suryadevara Naga Vamsi
Addressing the media, an elated Naga Vamsi reflected on the initial skepticism surrounding the film’s acquisition costs and how the audience reception proved all doubters wrong:
"Whether it is a project we bankroll ourselves or one we pick up for distribution, real professional satisfaction comes only when every buyer and sub-distributor recovers their investment and takes home a healthy commission. In recent times, witnessing such universal recovery across circles has become exceptionally rare.
When we initially secured the Telugu rights of Jailer 2, many cautioned us that the acquisition price was excessively high. But we took that calculated leap of faith because of our unwavering belief in Rajinikanth garu, Nelson garu, and Anirudh garu. From the moment the evening shows rolled out on October 15, distributor feedback shifted straight to sheer confidence. Watching that conviction turn into massive footfalls gives us tremendous happiness. We are grateful to the media for their tremendous support, and we are confident that Jailer 2 will register even larger numbers as the festive weekend rolls ahead."
"Breakeven and Profits by Vijayadashami Itself" — Mythri Shashi
Highlighting the extraordinary footfalls across Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and the Telangana districts, Mythri Shashi shared his assessment of the film's business trajectory:
"The audience response to Jailer 2 in Nizam has been sensational. Viewers across all age groups are thoroughly enjoying the dark situational comedy and high-stakes action blocks, while Anirudh’s background score has turned auditoriums into celebration grounds.
We are deeply thankful to Sithara Entertainments and Naga Vamsi for entrusting the Nizam release to Mythri Movie Distributors. Our friend and brother Nagarjuna also extended pivotal backing. Given the relentless advance bookings, the film will comfortably cross the breakeven benchmark and step straight into solid profit zones by Vijayadashami itself. A huge thanks to Telugu cinema lovers for showering this kind of love on Thalaivar once again."
Strong Festive Momentum Across AP & Telangana
With unanimous praise for Rajinikanth’s peerless swagger, Anirudh Ravichander’s electrifying music, and blockbuster surprise cameos, ‘Jailer 2’ has revitalized single screens and multiplexes alike, setting a formidable benchmark for non-stop festive entertainment.
