Megastar Chiranjeevi Sounds the Clapboard as Ram Charan and Sukumar’s Pan-India Epic ‘#RC17’ Launched in Grand Style
Eight years after redefining modern Telugu cinema with the cult rural blockbuster Rangasthalam, the powerhouse combination of Mega Power Star Ram Charan and master craftsman Sukumar has officially joined hands once again. Tentatively titled #RC17 (and widely referred to as #RC2Sukku), the mega-canvas pan-India spectacle was formally launched with a lavish pooja muhurtham ceremony in Hyderabad amidst prominent industry figures.
The high-profile venture is bankrolled jointly on an unprecedented budget by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and nationwide music and film powerhouse T-Series.
A Star-Studded Muhurtham: Megastar Chiranjeevi Sounds Clapboard
The formal launch event witnessed an assembly of top producers and filmmakers coming together to initiate principal proceedings:
-
Muhurtham Clap: Megastar Chiranjeevi attended as the honorary chief guest, sounding the golden clapboard for the inaugural shot.
-
Script Handover: Chiranjeevi along with ace producer Dil Raju formally presented the bound script to director Sukumar.
-
Camera Switch-on: Bhushan Kumar, chairman and managing director of T-Series, switched on the camera.
-
Honorary Direction: Leading directors present on stage jointly called the shots for the muhurtham take.
“You Can Imagine”: The Intriguing Concept Poster & Radical Makeover
Alongside the pooja festivities, the makers unveiled a striking concept poster that sent social media into overdrive.
-
The Visual Motif: The poster features an intricately textured peacock feather highlighted with vivid shades of indigo blue, emerald green, and burnished gold. Blended seamlessly into the barb of the feather using expressive brushstrokes is Ram Charan’s countenance, set against a pristine, minimalist white canvas.
-
The Tagline: Accompanying the artwork is the evocative tagline, “You Can Imagine”—a subtle nod to the narrative scale Sukumar has envisioned for the actor.
-
A New Avatar: Following his international acclaim, Ram Charan is undergoing a radical, complete physical and stylistic transformation to match the demanding nuances of Sukumar’s screenplay.
