In an ever competitive film industry, there are new trends that pick pace once in a while and some strategies work out while others don't. However, film makers continue to innovate to make sure that the movies generate enough moolah. In this regard, Bollywood is way ahead but due to dipping popularity these days even solid plans are not working out much for them.
Here comes the scenario in Tollywood. The industry is upbeat off late with good hits marking an auspicious start for 2023 and everyone are hoping for a very strong post covid revival this year to a full extent. Till recently, early morning shows or US night shows were a barometer for how a movie is going to fare at the box office. This was a largely successful trend in terms of reviews to create sufficient buzz going forward.
Now a new trend has caught up in Tollywood which involves doing paid previews before the actual release, usually two or three days before the release. Selective screening of the film is done for a very few celebrities and medium profile actors who are more than happy to attend these previews. Then they share their feedback for the movies. One such film which became a good hit recently is Writer Padmabhushan that helped the filmmakers to smile all their way at the box office.
The recent release Sir is also going the similar route with some positive buzz already reaching the audiences. Now the film makers of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha seem to be treading the same route with the movie all set for a release next week. Already a location has been chosen for the previews which are expected to give a strong feel about the movie.
Again, not every filmmaker is choosing this route and according to sources, only directors and producers who are super confident about their work are taking up this route. If it works well for more films, then it is going to be a new exciting trend as well in our film industry.
