A new trend has picked up across the Indian cine circuit and this is about coming up with Pan India projects. What was once quite segmented is now becoming a cross market thing and it is more like globalization of Indian cinema within India. As part of that, many top heroes are now working across various languages and doing big budget flicks.
In this process, the Tollywood heroes seem to be leading the race. They are teaming up with directors across various languages if they deem them to be talented and signing up multi-crore deals. Of course, even some of the Tollywood directors are also following the same route and they are heading to Bollywood trying to work with some of the stars there.
As for our heroes, what was once a conventional mindset of sticking to our own directors, they are now crossing the borders. For instance, young rebel star Prabhas is already working with Kannada director Prashant Neel for 'Salaar'. Later on, Prabhas is also doing another project with Bollywood director Siddharth Anand. Similarly, mega powerstar Ram Charan is working with showman of the south Shankar for his current movie and later on, he is expected to work with the Kannada filmmaker Nartan, a protégé of Prashant Neel.
Young Tiger Junior NTR is not far behind as there are reports that he has gone ahead and inked a project with the sensational Tamil director Vetrimaaran. There are also reports that NTR might do another project with Tamil director Atlee. And there is already a strong speculation that icon star Allu Arjun is scouting for some talented filmmakers from Mumbai to narrate a good line as he wants to step into Bollywood after 'Pushpa 2'. Going by the flow, it is going to be interesting to see how our Telugu stars will fare at a national level and will they be able to create their magic. Our best wishes to all of them.
