Telugu directors are now looking at pan-India films as a way to boost their careers and earn higher remuneration. While Telugu heroes are busy with pan-India projects, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Telugu directors to schedule dates for their films.
This has led them to explore opportunities with actors from other languages. Vamsi Paidipally, Venky Atluri, Shekhar Kammula, and Hanu Raghavapudi are among the Telugu directors working with actors from other languages.
Pan-India films offer higher remuneration than Telugu films, making it a more attractive option for directors. Sandeep Vanga, for instance, is reportedly earning over 50 crores plus profit sharing for a Hindi film, a sum he would not have received for a Telugu film.
While senior Telugu heroes are still in demand, many Telugu directors are still earning in the Rs 20 crore bracket. This is prompting Telugu directors and actors to look beyond their industry for opportunities to achieve pan-India success and better remuneration.
