The upcoming movie "Adipurush" starring young rebel star Prabhas and directed by Om Raut is based on the story of Ramayana and is set to release on June 16. However, since the release of the teaser, there have been controversies surrounding the movie. Some Hindutva groups have accused the movie of distorting the characters of Ramayana and undermining their relevance. There has also been criticism of the way Prabhas was shown as Sri Ram in the teaser and negative publicity surrounding the graphics.

Director Om Raut has worked on the visual effects of the movie again to address these concerns, and preparations are being made for the release on June 16. However, a new controversy has emerged regarding a poster released on the occasion of Sri Ramanavami.

Some Hindutva groups have criticized the poster for showing Rama wearing leather clothes, and an artist named Prateek Sanghar has accused the Adipurush team of copying his drawings without permission. Prateek has criticized the team for lacking passion and resorting to cheap tricks to steal creativity. It remains to be seen how the Adipurush team will respond to these accusations.

Till it releases, if some or other backlash continues, the movie may turn out to be a huge liability in the North circuit for Prabhas, where his popularity has been growing immensely over the last few years.
