Budding Hindi TV actor Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai flat on Monday. As per early media reports, he was found dead in his bathroom. Known for TV commercials and a stint with reality TV shows, Aditya was a budding name.
"His body has been sent for post-mortem. An investigation is underway," the Mumbai Police have been quoted as saying by news agencies. The 'Splitsvilla 9' fame actor allegedly passed away due to a drug overdose, as per a national media report.
At the time of writing, an official word on the immediate cause of his death is awaited.
Aditya was born and brought up in Delhi and hailed from a middle-class family. In an interview a couple of years ago, Aditya claimed to have done more than 125 ads for brands such as Close Up, BSNL 2Mbps, Amul Kool Cafe, T-Series Mobile, Coke, etc. He shared screen space with the likes of Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Shahrukh Khan in three Ads.
