Recently, Nikhil Siddhartha was quoted as saying that he was forced by some individuals to consume drugs. In raising awareness against drugs, the celebrity suggested that saying no to drugs is the key.
Several sections of the media reported the issue in a certain way. The general public started wondering if the prevalence of drug culture is so widespread in the Telugu film industry as to reach the doorsteps of the 'Karthikeya 2' actor.
In his latest interview, the '18 Pages' actor clarified that he was referring to the phase when he was in high school. "Some guys would try to influence me into consuming drugs. Had I seen coolness in doing drugs, I might not have had the energy to do 'Happy Days'," Nikhil said.
The actor added that he enjoys his wine and beer but stays away from other indulgences such as weed, cocaine, etc. He expressed despair over teens slipping into addictions due to peer pressure.
Nikhil awaits the theatrical release of 'SPY' on June 29. Starring Iswarya Menon and himself as RAW agents, the Garry BH directorial has Aryan Rajesh as the hero's elder brother. Jisshu Sengupta and others are doing different roles.
