This week, 'Rudrangi' is going to hit the screens on a decent scale in the Telugu States. Jagapathi Babu plays an arrogant feudalist in the Telangana-based period drama. A revolt takes place against the feudal lord's atrocities in the film. Somewhere in the climax, the head of Jagapathi's character is cut asunder.
The CBFC has asked the makers to excise the visuals of decapitation by 50%. Graphic depiction of decapitation is usually discouraged by the Board. This is the second time such an objection has been raised in recent weeks.
'Rudrangi' stars Mamta Mohandas as the wife of Jagapathi's character. Recently, at the film's trailer launch event, Nandamuri Balakrishna said that 'Rudrangi' is a rare story. Ashish Gandhi, 'Baahubali' Prabhakar and others will be seen in the film.
Jagapathi is currently doing Prabhas' 'Salaar' and Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram'. In the latter, he has a scarier part than he had in 'Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava'. He tasted a flop this Summer. 'Rama Banam', which had him in a key character role, flopped at the box office.
