Telugu Film Journalist Association to stand by abused celebs

In the era of social media, abusive trolling has become commonplace. The Telugu film celebs routinely face obnoxious trolling. The Telugu Film Journalists Association (TFJA) has now decided to stand by the celebs who are targeted in nauseating ways by anonymous trolls. A strategy has been eked out to ensure that celebs who feel victimized by cyber bullies and trolls receive legal support.

TFJA General Secretary and senior journalist YJ Rambabu, speaking at an event on Monday, said, "While film celebs have been helping us out (through donations to the TFJA), we journalists have decided to stand by them when they face troubles. Especially during this social media age, a lot of nonsense is happening there. Due to this, celebrities are suffering the most. So much nonsense has been written about actors, both male and female. The celebs are not in a position to face this abuse by themselves owing to their busy work life. Our association will stand by them in the near future. As a part of this, we are forming a committee with the police department, lawyers, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, and the Movie Artists Association."

The initiative has received the oral support of Megastar Chiranjeevi and producer Dil Raju.
