Fillm critic and stand-up comedian Hriday Ranjan has been flooded with abuses and threats on social media. Pawan Kalyan's fans are offended that his recent review of 'Bro' started with an imaginary song sung by Pawan. In the song, the Jana Sena Party supremo urges his fans to vote for him at least next time. "Me and Varahi can't enter the Assembly. I am just a traveling actor," the lyrics go.
Pawan's fans are upset with the tone of the satire. A viral post has clocked more than 9 lakh views at the time of writing. The quote-tweets on it are shockingly in poor taste.
A fan threatened to physically assault Ranjan, who was scheduled to do stand-up comedy on Sunday evening in Hyderabad. It appears that the show was called off following threats.
One wonders why Power Star doesn't want to curb his fans who hold out threats against individuals. In the past, Late Mahesh Kathi was abused in a grotesque fashion by the fans of the actor-politician.
