'BRO' bites the dust - Distributors to incur losses

'BRO' hit the screens on July 28. On its first Monday (July 31) at the box-office, the fantasy comedy's fate became clear. The film managed to post decent numbers on the first weekend. However, on Day 4, the Pawan Kalyan-Sai Dharam Tej starrer's fate was out in the open.

In the two Telugu States, the film made just about Rs 2.30 Cr (Share) on Monday. This is not only an unremarkable number but is also a humiliating figure for a film featuring a superstar.

It is increasingly becoming clear that the Power Star erred by doing a remake. The very many nostalgic clapbacks in the movie have failed to save it from tanking.

'Trivikram Srinivas' less-than-satisfying dialogue, the not-so-impressive screenplay, and the familiar plot have made 'BRO' an uninteresting film.

With music by Thaman, 'BRO' has been produced by People Media Factory. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad made losses to the tune of Rs 30-40 Cr on 'Adipurush' recently. 'BRO' is a profit venture for him but not the film's distributors.
