Nagarjuna Akkineni is doing a film titled 'Naa Saami Ranga' for which he has teamed up with producer Srinivasa Chitturi of Srinivasa Silver Screen. Most recently, the banner produced 'Custody' with Nag's son, Naga Chaitanya. It is also producing Ram Pothineni's upcoming release, 'Skanda'.
Coming back to 'Naa Saami Ranga', the film is touted to be a village-based action entertainer wherein the 'Bangarraju' actor will be brooding and violent.
Debutant Vijay Binni is on board. While Karuna Kumar (the filmmaker known for films like 'Palsa' and 'Sridevi Soda Centre') is playing a villain, the film is written by Prasanna Kumar Bezawada. MM Keeravani is going to be its composer.
The film is aiming at a Sankranthi 2024 release. The festival season is going to see the release of Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram', Vijay Deverakonda's 13th film, Ravi Teja's 'Eagle' and Prasanth Varma's 'Hanu-Man'. The buzz is that one or two of these films will get postponed but 'Naa Saami Ranga' won't.
Meanwhile, Nag has also been roped in for a special role in Dhanush's 51st movie, to be directed by Sekhar Kammula. Rashmika Mandanna is its heroine.
