Two days before the arrival of the trailer for 'Jawan', Karan Johar cryptically tweeted that he had watched the trailer of the century. It was clear that he was talking about the trailer for Shah Rukh Khan's movie.
The trailer arrived on Thursday. The scale of action is top-tier for sure. However, calling it the 'Trailer of the Century' is an exaggeration.
The trailers for 'RRR' and 'KGF 2' were superior. Even the teaser for 'Salaar' was greater.
If Jawan's trailer is superlative, it should be reflected in the openings next week. The first weekend collections of the Atlee directorial must validate the hype. Will the openings be 'Openings of the year' at the very least? If the film fails to live up to the incredible hype, the over-the-top campaign will stand exposed.
'Jawan' will be released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil on September 7. In Telugu, it will clash with 'Miss Shetty & Mr Polishetty'. The Bollywood project's music is by Anirudh Ravichander. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi are playing the heroine and the villain, respectively.
