G Marimuthu, the Kollywood actor-director, passed away on Friday. Superstar Rajinikanth, Karthi and several other Tamil film celebrities condoled his untimely demise at the age of 58. It was a case of a massive heart attack.
Incidentally, three months ago, a Tamil astrologer told the atheistic Marimuthu about his fatal health problem on TV during a debate between astrologers and atheists. When the astrologer, who is in his 60s, screamed that Marimuthu didn't know that he had a problem above his waist, the actor scoffed at him and said that the advice didn't affect him because he was an atheist.
Netizens who believe in astrology have pulled out the video clip and are sharing it widely on social media. As per them, astrology is a science that can't be ignored if the practitioner is knowledgeable.
For disbelievers, the astrologer who made the prediction is like a broken clock. "Even a broken clock is correct twice a day. In the same way, some astrologers making random predictions turn out to be correct a few times. It is not rocket science," a skeptic wrote on Twitter.
