Sivakarthikeyan is currently doing a pan-India film titled 'Ayalaan' (its Telugu title is yet to be announced). The film is going to hit the screens in the second week of January 2024 for Sankranthi.
It is interesting that the Tamil hero will be competing with big Telugu heroes such as Mahesh Babu and Akkineni Nagarjuna during the crucial Sankranthi season next year. 'Guntur Kaaram' and Nag's 'Naa Sami Ranga' are among the prestigious releases in the fray. Also in the race will be the untitled Vijay Deverakonda-Parasuram movie, 'Hanu-Man', and Ravi Teja's 'Eagle'.
'Ayalaan' is a pan-Indian movie and is among the very few Tamil movies to be released in Tamil Nadu for Pongal. Since it is a multi-lingual release, the makers won't change the release date even if they get limited theatres for the Telugu version. What makes 'Ayalaan' seem special is the fact that it is an alien entertainer with sci-fi elements. If its trailer is wow, it is likely to give stiff competition to one or two straight Telugu releases.
The post-production of 'Ayalaan' is taking months on end to be completed. "With the primary goal of ensuring that our movie reaches its full potential, we believe some extra time will allow us to enhance the film's quality for a remarkable viewing experience. We are confident that the wait will be worth it, and it will be a celebration in theaters," KJR Studios said the other day.
