Allu Arjun was recently conferred with the National Award in the Best Actor category for his performance in 'Pushpa: The Rise'. The Award in the prestigious category was conferred by the President of India. Bunny is the first Telugu actor to win the coveted National Award in the Best Actor category.
On Saturday evening, Mythri Movie Makers hosted a party for National Award recipients belonging to the Telugu film industry. Bunny and Devi Sri Prasad (who won the Best Music Director - Songs Award) were among the attendees. Flanked by DSP, the 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' star delivered an emotional speech on the occasion. He said that DSP and he never took a high school certificate while in their school days in Chennai. "Today, we received a medal from the president," the Icon Star said, adding that even their parents must not have imagined this surge in their lives.
Bunny also attributed his achievement to director Sukumar, whom he profusely thanked.
'Pushpa 2', co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and others, will hit the screens on August 15, 2024. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and also stars Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and others.
