"The world is full of great love stories. But there are those few love stories that haven't been heard or seen before. And ‘The Girlfriend’ is one such (sic)," tweeted Rashmika Mandanna, sharing the news about her collaboration with presenter Allu Aravind and director Rahul Ravindran for a film titled 'The Girlfriend'. With music by 'Kushi' fame Hesham Abdul Wahab, the film's principal photography will commence soon.
With cinematography by Krishnan Vasant, its production design is by S Rama Krishna and Monika Nigotre of 'Rangasthalam' fame. Produced by Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni, the 2024 release has costumes done by Shravya Varma.
This one is Rashmika's 24th movie. Apparently, this female-centric movie is a psychological romantic drama.
Mass Movie Makers, which recently produced 'Baby', has teamed up with Geetha Arts and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment. "Here’s the announcement glimpse of my next directorial project. Very grateful to the universe to be starting another film. Cannot wait to start shooting with the bundle of positive energy that is Rashmika," wrote the director on Twitter.
Rashmika, meanwhile, awaits the release of 'Animal' on December 1. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead and is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
