'Kota Bommali PS', the remake of 'Nayattu' (Malayalam), will hit the screens on November 24. So far, whatever buzz there is around the film is owed to two factors.
The first factor is the song 'Lingi Lingi Lingidi'. The folk song has so far clocked more than 30 million views.
The second factor is the political dialogue in the film. Producer Bunny Vasu recently said that the political lines are punchy in nature and that they are timed for the election season. In the film's title track, we see flashes of political satire. A voter says that he will vote for that party that distributes the maximum amount of money as a bribe for his vote. "There is a third party that can't give any money because it is not cash-rich," the voter says.
Starring Srikanth Meka, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rahul Vijay and Murali Sharma in different roles, the film will clash with Vaisshnav Tej's 'Aadikeshava' at the box office. The question is, will the buzz translate into openings for 'Kota Bommali PS'?
