'#90’s - A Middle Class Biopic' has been described by its makers as the best-ever Telugu web series. Streaming successfully on ETV Win, the family comedy-drama stars Shivaji, Internet sensation Mouli and Vasuki Anand of 'Toli Prema' in leading roles. Master Rohan's clips from the series have gone viral. Snehal and Vasanthika play different roles in this Aditya Hasan-starrer produced by Naveen Medaram and Rajashekar Medram.
The first episode of the six-episode series has been available for free on ETV Win.
On Friday, ETV Win hosted the series' success event in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, director Hasan said, "Insta pages and memers have taken our series to the masses. They helped spread the word about our series. The reach they got us has been amazing. The '90s kids are finding our product extremely relatable. The song 'Sampradayani' has gone viral. It was entirely our composer Suresh Bobbili's idea."
Mouli said that everyone from children to old people started recognizing him after the show. "We were always confident about the content. However, we were not sure about the reach. Thanks to the cinematographer, we all looked good on the screen. I thank Shivaji garu and Vasuki garu, who played my parents. Master Rohan is the true hero of the show. He is a wonderful actor," Mouli added.
Rohan, currently the most popular child artist, thanked Mouli for taking it upon himself to promote the show through his comedy skits on social media. He quipped that director Hasan is the James Cameron of the series.
The show will have a second season.
