Ram Pothineni's mass actioner 'Skanda' hit the screens last year on September 28. It was recently aired on TV. The news is that the Boyapati Srinu directorial has generated a blockbuster TRP rating of 8.47 (Urban + Rural) with its World Television Premiere in Star Maa. The makers are extremely happy with the response.
Commenting on the same, senior film industry observer Ramesh Bala wrote, "The TRP of 8.47 is commendable and shows the Nenu Sailaja actor's pulling power. The Ustaad (Ram's sobriquet) sets the small screens ablaze with 'Skanda' despite the film releasing last year with mixed talk. His previous film, 'The Warriorr', scored 10.02." Ram is showing consistency.
In our review of the movie, we opined, "Boyapati Sreenu scores with the climax and a rousing interval sequence. After toying with 'Akhanda 2', he promises 'Skanda 2'. Ram's performance and look help. Otherwise, the story is quite formulaic." The film co-starred Sree Leela, Srikanth and others.
Ram is currently doing 'Double iSmart' with Puri Jagannadh. The film's release was supposed to be on March 8. A new release date will be finalized soon.
