As the year draws to a close, the actor is urging his admirers to prioritize safety and mindfulness during celebrations, particularly surrounding his upcoming birthday. He emphasizes that his true happiness lies in their well-being and pursuit of their dreams, rather than extravagant displays of affection.
In a heartfelt letter addressed to his fans, Yash underscores the need for a shift in how love and admiration are expressed. He reflects on past birthday celebrations marred by unfortunate incidents, including tragic losses of life.
Earlier this year, on his 2024 birthday, three fans in Karnataka lost their lives while erecting a large birthday cutout. Yash immediately visited the grieving families, offering condolences and support. Following this tragedy, he implored fans to refrain from dangerous activities such as hanging banners, reckless bike rallies, and risky selfies, emphasizing that these actions do not represent genuine expressions of fandom.
In a media interview, Yash stated, "If you are a true fan of mine, then do your work diligently, dedicate your life to yourself, and be happy and successful."
This plea echoes a similar sentiment expressed in 2019 when a fan tragically resorted to self-immolation after being unable to meet Yash on his birthday. The actor reiterated that such extreme actions do not reflect true fandom and urged fans to never resort to such measures.
