The murder case of former minister Viveka has taken a new turn with the Supreme Court ordering the CBI to change the investigating officer. This decision came as a result of a petition filed by Tulashamma, the wife of accused Devi Reddy Sivashankar Reddy, who expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in the case. The court also expressed its impatience with the slow pace of the investigation and directed the CBI to speed up the process.

The case has been surrounded by controversy, with Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy and his father YS Bhaskar Reddy making serious allegations against the investigating officer, Ramsingh, accusing him of misrepresenting the investigation to implicate them. The Supreme Court did not make any comments on the merits of the case, but it is unclear who will get justice with the change of investigating officer.

The High Court had previously stated that there was a conspiracy in Viveka's murder, which was politically motivated. However, the reasons for the killing were not enough to arrest the culprits. The case has been ongoing since 2019, and the lack of progress has caused frustration and anger among those seeking justice for Viveka's murder. The case has indeed become highly sensational.
